Risk tips of the day

"In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks."

— Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg

"There’s a mantra right now, you know, think positively and the universe will reward you. This is not true. It’s your ability to think negatively and think the consequences of your actions through that ultimately determines success."

— Extreme athlete Will Gadd

Did you know...?

  1. Per mile, a taxi ride to the airport is riskier than a transatlantic flight?
  2. Per mile, traveling by light aircraft is more than 500 times riskier than a commercial flight.
  3. If you live in North America you are much more likely to be shot by a baby than a terrorist.

RISK NAVIGATOR APP IN BETA!

Our forthcoming mobile app is in its final testing phase. Our academic partners like it so much they tell us they plan to use it in their classes. We're excited to unleash it on the world. Watch for it in an app store near you later this month (May 2017).

RISK NAVIGATOR SUPPORT

When Risk Navigator is released (very soon) you'll be able to report problems and ask questions by emailing us at support@riskfactor.ca.

NEW DATA ON DISTRACTED DRIVING

One of the nice things about Risk Navigator is that we can add new data to it at any time. We've just heard from a content partner, The Canadian Safety Council, that new more accurate data on the risks of distracted driving is about to be released. As soon as it's available you'll find it in our app.
